"It's not about getting the feeling out of the mind, or hiding it, but about experiencing it with acceptance"

My Approch

As a Person-Centered Counselor, I bring extensive experience in working with clients dealing with eating disorders, disordered eating, bereavement, and loss. My goal is to assist you in navigating through challenging and distressing periods in your life. Whether you feel stuck or struggle to reach your goals, I provide a supportive and empathetic environment for you to explore your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Together, we can identify and address the barriers preventing you from living your best life.

Grief and Loss:
Grief can be an incredibly painful and isolating experience, often catching you off guard and leaving you feeling paralyzed. You don't have to face it alone.

Loss can take various forms, including the death of a loved one, divorce, job loss, or even the loss of identity. I'm here to offer support and companionship as you navigate through these challenges.

Disordered Eating:
Disordered eating encompasses a wide range of abnormal eating behaviors that may not meet the criteria for specific eating disorders like anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa. If you feel like food is controlling your life, know that with support, you can regain control. Together, we can work towards a healthier relationship with food and yourself.

My Own Experiance

I have personally experienced a number of emotional challenges in my life, including going through a divorce with 2 primary school aged children. Until then I had been sceptical of the value of therapy and counselling, but the help I received at this time was transformational for me. It helped me manage through a very difficult and distressing period. This inspired me to become trained so I could help others in distress. My collaborative approach enables us to explore your emotions together, in a non judgemental way, so you can find ways to deal with them that work best for you.
